The Heart That Illuminated the Storm   
「Lisbon, Winter 1287」
In a port chapel lashed by tempest, Byzantine iconographer Nikos huddled before a ruined Madonna. Waves clawed at his prayers until lightning revealed a drowned sailor on the altar—
The corpse’s dusty rose shroud clung to its chest like withered roses. As Nikos reached to close the dead man’s eyes, golden light bled through the fingers pressed over its heart.
"Not death... but homecoming."
In a vision, the artist saw:
Eyes lowered in mercy piercing the gale, a luminous sacred heart pulsing beneath the shroud, the right hand frozen in blessing. Flames rose from the chest yet warmed like Paschal candles.
For seven days, Nikos carved the miracle in oak. When dawn touched the rose-hued robes, the drowned sailor’s mother whispered: "My son ferries souls now."
—This became the first folk icon of the "Flaming Sacred Heart", now reborn in century-old oak by QIADGE Studio.
